The Eucharist is the bread of life, through it we celebrate and remember Jesus Christ. We come together as a community and break bread and eat together. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith.
For Children
Children in second grade prepare to receive their first Communion on the first Sunday in May. Children wishing to celebrate first Communion in second grade should normally be enrolled in Religious Education beginning in first grade. As the primary catechists of their children, parents are invited to play an active role in their child's formation by completing at home activities with their child, which deepens their understanding of the Eucharist and the Mass.
For Adults
Eucharist is one of the three sacraments of initiation, together with Baptism and Confirmation. Adults seeking preparation to make their First Communion usually participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
